IPS Interiors sustainably delivers new headquarters of highly regarded private equity firm.

Our client approached us to assist them in altering a CAT A+ fitted floor to suit their needs. The 3,300 square foot floor in Conduit Street had recently been extensively refurbished by the Landlord but the layout did not suit our client’s operational requirements.

We were keen to identify as many existing materials for re-use as possible in order to limit waste. We worked with our client to sympathetically re-design the floorspace, to better suit their working requirements whilst remaining in keeping with the existing theme of the office.

The floor was remodelled to include: five partner offices, complete with industrial style glazing and high-end executive furniture (from environmentally accredited manufacturers). An enlarged and screened off tea point/break space, executive assistant area (complete with floor to ceiling storage wall) and replacement meeting room tables in a ‘Fenix’ finish. Our client also required a larger comms room; we carefully increased the size of the space, whilst keeping the patch panels in their existing location so that the data cables could be re-used and supplemented as necessary, saving waste where possible.

We identified pieces of furniture from the CAT A+ fit out for re-use and liaised with the building asset management team so that any unwanted furniture could be taken away and re-used on another of their CAT A+ schemes. Our client had their own art collection, so the existing artwork was also handed back for re-use.

We managed to carefully salvage most of the flooring, only requiring topping up as necessary. We also re-used all the LED light fittings and reconfigured them to the new layout, we were able to match the existing kitchen when designing the extension of the space and matched the existing glass partitioning system, so that as much of the dismantled material could be reused.

All waste materials were segregated on site with the aim of avoiding landfill as far as was practicable.

The project was delivered on time and on budget to our client’s complete satisfaction.
