The Brief

Our client continues to expand and as such, took possession of two office units within Wrotham Business Park, which were tired and in need of extensive refurbishment.

We were tasked with combining the units, to create a flow between the 'Engine Room' sales office and executive space.

01 The Brief

The executive suite needed to be impressive, not only attract to clients but also to attract top talent to join their rapidly expanding business, while the open plan area was to be used as a busy sales environment.

The Solution

As the whole building was to be occupied by one company, we opened up the lobby and installed glass partitioning. This was designed to create a feeling of space and to allow for natural light which now fills the entrance and creates a bright spacious first impression.

To continue with the open and bright design of the entrance to the office, the manifestation was designed to allow vision through into the lounge area, as well as making the most of the feature pendant lighting that we had installed in the boardroom beyond that. This combined with edge lit signage, means that every first impression, is now a positive one.

03 The Solution

We positioned the break space in the middle of the office so that it can conveniently serve both the staff members and the executive suite. A large dining table is intended to create a social space, helping the team to socialise over lunch or, to even host an informal team meeting. During evening events, the break area also forms an extension of the lounge via an open walkway.

Walnut desks with an open leg design were placed in the executive offices. We felt this created a more modern approach to a traditional executive suite.

The offices were also positioned so that the views from the windows extended, uninterrupted over to the vast open fields and lake beyond.

Velvet pile, broadloom carpets were laid throughout the executive offices and boardrooms.

The lounge area was designed with suede furniture to provide a luxurious and inviting aesthetic. The furniture from Italy was placed on a lush, thick pile rug to complete the area.

We replaced the doors to the WC's so that they suited with the rest of the office. This together with the signage, helped create the first impression our client desired.

The 'Engine Room' is bright, spacious and airy, with room to continue to grow.
